Recently Turned Pro Boxer Ian "About Dat" Green Improves to 2-0
Patterson, NJ, December 24, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Ian Green records second win as Pro
Ian "About Dat" Green won his second straight fight since turning Pro with a 1st round knockout this past Saturday 12/20 at the Wheeling, WV Casino and Racetrack against the veteran Nathan Petty. During the bout, Petty was the early aggressor connecting with a few overhand shots to directly to the head of Green. However, Green quickly tamed the assault by effectively throwing counter punches and strong left jabs. In the middle of the 1st round, Green launched a series of viscous body blows that brought Petty to his knees. Relentlessly, Green continued the body attack and knocked Petty to the ground for a second time in the first round. At the 2 minute 54 second mark the ref mercifully put an end to the fight after Green dropped Petty for a third and final time in the 1st round with a series of strong body shots.
Dwyke Flemmins, trainer, stated that Green showed unusual pose and maturity for just his second professional fight. General Partner of Kran Sports and Entertainment Management, Jason Umlah, said that "Green will fight again sometime in late January or early February in his quest to get a middleweight title shot in 2016!"
