Khilana to Banta Hai – A Food Sharing Initiative
The Foodz Genie is all set to begin their second public-spirited initiative to feed less fortunate children. The food delivery startup from Ahmedabad is working with YUVA Unstoppable, a registered non-government organization working for the less privileged children of India, on a campaign that focuses on sharing rather than simply donating money.
Ahmedabad, India, December 29, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The “Khilana To Banta Hai” campaign draws inspiration on the old adage “Sharing is Caring.” The innovative campaign asks users to order a food combo and select items to share with the kids. The campaign is set to run from 26 December 2014 to 10 January 2015. On the 11th, the Genie along with volunteers from Yuva Unstoppable will distribute the food from the proceeds to needy children across the City.
This is not the first such campaign organized by Foodz Genie. In the previous campaign organized on the occasion of Diwali, the Foodz Genie team visited the slum areas and distributed clothes to the needy. The campaign was quite a success and this time they plan on even greater participation.
The Genie’s commercial service begins in January 2015, where it will be delivering food from your favourite restaurant across the state in similar combos.
When asked why he decided to begin operations with this campaign, the brand owner, Abhilash Munshi, replied, “ There are so many kids out there who don’t get a square meal a day, leave alone the delicacies you and me can enjoy when we fancy. For these kids eating at a restaurant is a dream. So I decided to get the restaurant to them. Kids are the epitome of innocence. It just hurts to see them grow up with such a dark and harsh picture of the world painted in their minds. I want them to know that their there are people who care for them and never to feel down. I want them to grow up hopeful of progress.”
