International Women's Leadership Association Names Long Beach Counselor for Outstanding Leadership
Dr. Angela Butts Chester was registered in December 2014 as a woman of outstanding leadership in the mental health industry.
Long Beach, CA, January 04, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The International Women’s Leadership Association announced today that in recognition of her contribution to her family, her career, and her community, Dr. Angela Chester of New Life Pastoral Counseling is hereby registered as a woman of outstanding leadership by declaration of the Executive Committee of The International Women’s Leadership Association, taking her place among other prolific women who have earned their place in The IWLA.
“We live in rapidly changing times and this generation must decide what our place will be, and how we will affect the future. Each of us has a purpose and a plan,” says Dr. Chester about leadership.
Dr. Chester was asked how New Life Pastoral Counseling plays a part in her leadership role, “I teach from a holistic mental health approach – to look at the whole person and the world around them. One must listen to past wisdoms, learn to create and build new paths, all while being grounded by your faith, giving you balance. My office is very interactive with each client. Allowing the client to be involved in their care - active and not passive - gives them an empowerment boost. They see that positive self-perpetuating is real and obtainable."
When asked about having been recognized, “I’m honored to be named a member of such a wonderful group of ladies and look forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of others.”
