Astrid Rosenschon was born in 1951 in Bayreuth (Franconia, Bavaria, Germany. From 1970 onwards she studied economics at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen/Nuernberg. She became an assistant at the Chair of Public Finance of Professor Horst Claus Recktenwald at this university. In 1979 she obtained her doctorate with the grade “summa cum laude”. Since 1985 Astrid Rosenschon is working in an internationally renowned research institution.
