CEO Moataz Al Khayyat Plans to Open 18 Restaurants with Palma Hospitality Group – Doha, Qatar
Qatari-based Palma Hospitality Group headed by Moataz Al Khayyat announces plans to open 18 brand new restaurants over the next five years in the wake of the 2022 World Cup, whilst proactively progressing towards the Qatar National Vision of 2030.
Doha, Qatar, January 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Palma Hospitality Group, a company dedicated to the development of new restaurant concepts in Doha Qatar and headed by CEO Moataz Al Khayyat, has unveiled a portfolio of exciting projects to add to its current line of operations. One of Palma Hospitality’s most recently completed developments include the internal servicing of The Sheraton Hotel as well as a 5,000 square meter family entertainment centre named Megapolis, which is in its final stages of completion. The Megapolis will boast a kids "active sports zone" and feature 5 eateries – Saladworks, Earl of Sandwich, Cool de Sac, Camille’s Ice Cream and Mister Pizza.
The decision to combine family entertainment with its restaurant concepts was an easy decision for the group as the executive manager Charbel Mhanna explains: “When a family takes a trip out for the day we feel it is our responsibility to facilitate entertainment for children too and so, we are working to combine kids and family entertainment all under the one roof.”
The group’s executive manager Charbel Mhanna reveals: “We have acquired franchises from the United States and Europe – mostly food and beverage – which we are also planning to open in the well known Mall of Qatar.”
Moataz Al Khayyat, Group CEO, explains:
“We have started to open the first of many locations, and we are projecting a further 18 opening within the next five years. It is our vision to bring something new to Doha, and as per our analysis these franchises will flourish with trade.”
Palma Hospitality has exponentially expanded over the last 2 years by undertaking substantial recruitment drives all in order to employ the necessary staff to handle each of these brands.
Moataz Al Khayyat added that: “In order to keep momentum we concurrently signed contracts with the franchises, looked for ideal locations, and established a highly trained team to manage each brand.”
Mr. Al Khayyat’s Palma Hospitality Group has very recently agreed a lease deal with the United Development Company (UDC) a Qatari shareholding company and master developer of the Pearl-Qatar. The Pearl, a man made thriving tourist landmark expels a unique multicultural experience, the perfect location for Palma Group to express its hybrid concepts and contribute to the island’s reputation as a destination for tourists and entertainment-seekers alike.
Moutaz Al Khayyat's portfolio of construction projects:
Mr Moataz Al Khayyat’s company has some 20 construction projects underway in the Doha region in Qatar, with a total workforce of about 10,000 workers. KCT recently launched the Al Khayyat Academy for Training, a facility to train construction tradesmen and unskilled laborers, as well as foremen and supervisors in 10 trades.
