Videocon d2h Selects MStar HEVC SoC solution for HD Zapper Set-Top Box

Zhubei, Taiwan, January 10, 2015 --(PR.com)-- MStar Semiconductor, Inc., a leading semiconductor company for TV, set-top-box, display and digital home solutions, today announces that it will provide its high efficiency video codec (HEVC) H.265 system-on-chip (SoC) to Videocon d2h, India’s fastest growing DTH service provider and recognized as Asia’s Most Promising Brand in the DTH category, the Economic Times best brand 2014. This will be utilized in Videocon d2h’s HD set-top-boxes (STBs).

MStar has successfully implemented HEVC technology in the HD solution which fits properly to save the bandwidth requirement with high definition picture quality. The operators and STB OEMs can reduce their development costs and time to market to meets the India market demands with the MStar HEVC-capable set-top box SoC solution.
