DTR Inc CEO Jay Goldberg’s Business Course Starts January, 20th in Palm Beach County, Florida
The course is for entrepreneurs from new businesses, and seasoned businesses looking to grow, and is being taught in two locations. Each location is a separate course and each course runs from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM, one night a week for eight weeks.
Jupiter, FL, January 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Jay Goldberg’s course, How to Start, Grow and Manage a Business starts Tuesday, January 20th in Jupiter, Florida (at Jupiter Community High School); and Thursday, January 22nd in Wellington, Florida (at Palm Beach Central High School). You need to sign up in advance to ensure a spot in the class.
The course covers topics such as business plans, strategic planning, marketing (including advertising, branding, elevator pitch, sales skills, and more), online branding, customer service, cash flow management, risk management, how to deal with a bank, local funding sources, requirements for doing business in Florida, business structures, taxes, and more.
In addition to a text book and a PowerPoint presentation to drive the lecture; Shark Tank, Mystery Diners and other videos are used to help teach vital business lessons.
Sign up for the course is in person at either school through January 15th (in the early evening) or online at https://apm.activecommunities.com/aceschools/Activity_Search?Page=3 (Adult and Community Education of Palm Beach County - through the Palm Beach County School District). Be sure to create an account if signing up online. The link to create an account is at the top of the page.
For businesses looking for success, the two main reasons business fail are lack of a business plan and poor management. This course covers both topics.
For businesses looking for funding, the tools participants learn in the course are ones to help increase the odds of getting a loan or an investor. Banks and investors prefer businesses with “A” management and “B” products or services over businesses with “B” management and “A” products or services. The management skills and business plan process taught in this course helps improve the entrepreneurs’ management skills, and the written business plan itself is structured to demonstrate that the entrepreneur is “A” management.
