Consulus Designs New Visual Identities for Catholic Archdiocesan Councils for Dialogue in Singapore
Singapore, Singapore, January 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Catholic Archbishop William Goh officially launched the new visual identities for The Archdiocesan Catholic Council for Inter-religious Dialogue (ACCIRD) and the Archdiocesan Catholic Council for Ecumenical Dialogue (ACCED).
The launch of both logos is another step forward for the Church and both councils in its efforts and renewed commitment to promote dialogue with other faiths and Christian denominations in Singapore.
This rebranding was sponsored by Consulus as part of its annual commitment to shaping a better world by helping brands that have a role in enhancing dialogue and understanding. Consulus’ work in the interfaith sector has been extensive and includes advising global organisations such as Religions for Peace.
The new visual identities present both organizations as inclusive, reflecting the direction of a shared journey that is being advocated by Pope Francis.
The new ACCIRD symbol with its unmistakable heart shape is made up of speech bubbles overlaying each other. This serves as a reminder that dialogue must be conducted with the premise of mutual love and respect. The overlays also represent the deepening of relationships through inter-religious dialogue.
Sails in the ACCED symbol reflect the spirit of Ecumenism. The different colours represent the Church’s numerous efforts to reunite with members of different Churches. The overlays represent the riches of different Christian traditions. The overall shape resembles a boat and a shared journey towards God.
The new visual identities first appeared in the Catholic Archdiocese’s publication, The Catholic News.
