Various athletes confirmed and invited include, Blair O’Neal, LPGA Golfer, Cobra/Puma Model, Jahidi White, Former Phoenix Suns Center and 10 year NBA Vet. White played for the Washington Wizards and was selected by the Bobcats from the Suns in the expansion draft in 2004. He is also known for his online fame for a huge block on Shaquille O’Neal while with the Suns. Gerado Parra, Milwaukee Brewers Outfielder and two time Gold Glove Winner with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2011 and 2013. Parra is a native of Venezuela. Alongside of these athletes other celebrities, company executives and media personalities will walk the runway with some of the most adorable animals up for adoption in the Phoenix area. This time we are taking a fashion twist on the runway, with the animals wearing “boutique style” clothing. This event will feature some of the athletes walking their own animals. All of the fashion items will be donated with the animal up for adoption along with other items from various sponsors. All items worn by the animals along with other sponsor items will be donated to the dogs up for adoption from HALO Animal Rescue.

Located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, HALO Animal Rescue is a safety net for thousands of homeless dogs and cats each year. We are a no-kill facility, which means we never euthanize an animal because we have run out of room, but it also means we are limited in the animals we can take in at any given time. Our specialty is to provide a refuge to those pets who might otherwise be destroyed at other Valley shelters for reasons such as untreatable injury, illness, or those who are too scared or too young to go up for adoption at their time of arrival. These animals are lovingly cared for while they are prepared for adoption, and then they are adopted into loving homes.
