A Celebration of Diversity and a Lesson in Good Values

Indianapolis, IN, November 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In Mirror of Hope, Mirror of Fame, poet and retired marine Ricky D. Wilson teaches children to value what’s really important in life, to study hard to achieve their goals, and to be weary of things—like fame—that come too easily or quickly.

“I do not remember the town, I do not remember the place, but there were two children born who were from the human race. One child was of color, one child was not, but it did not matter because they both had names. One child’s name was Porsch, one child’s name was Sage. It did not matter because they both had their ways…”

Author Ricky D. Wilson’s latest work, Mirror of Hope, Mirror of Fame, is a delightful new children’s book that helps teach kids where their priorities in life should be while simultaneously celebrating the ethnic and cultural diversity God has gifted us with. Porsch and Sage show that by treating others with respect and understanding, the world can be a better place.

Mirror of Hope, Mirror of Fame is illustrated by LaTonya R. Pierce, who graduated from Collins College in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Visual Communications.
