New Fantasy/Adventure Series Features Teenage Girl as Heroine
Cincinnati, OH, November 12, 2007 --(PR.com)-- In the popular realm of fantasy/adventure comes an epic series, The Pages of Tamenara. In the first installment, The Keeper, as one village after another is decimated, a young girl, Adella, learns that the future existence of the kingdom may lie in her hands. Though she has doubts as to her supposed self-importance, there is no time for hesitation. She finds herself in the most dangerous of circumstances and must learn not only the techniques of combat but also how to wield a powerful magic.
The Pages of Tamenara begins as the village of Gilham and its people are being destroyed. Many believe the blame lies with King Deimos, the kingdom’s bloodthirsty and tyrannical ruler. But as events unfold, it becomes clear that an even greater evil is threatening all of Tamenara.
After sixteen-year-old Adella discovers that she is the last Celestialite, the Keeper of Tamenara, she is brought to the realization that she cannot run away from her destiny. As more of the prophecy is revealed, Adella learns of an ancient past when dwarves, dragons, elves, and Celestialites populated the land. They were thought to be obliterated in the Great War by the race of humans—of whom she always thought herself to be a part. Though she is left with unanswered questions, an army of evil demons is fast approaching, and there is naught left to do but act.
Joining her in the battle against the evil army are the Darconians, led by Alastar, the prince of Darco, and the Beloved Mother, Frigg, as well as a young man named Ian and an old healer, Morganna, a woman who is as secretive as she is magical. When it becomes clear that their combined force is not strong enough, Adella is told she must undertake a perilous journey to enlist the help of the elves.
The Pages of Tamenara is a well-crafted tale—one that will leave readers eager to delve into the next installment.

As author T. H. Ferrell prepared for the release of The Pages of Tamenara, she found herself overwhelmed with the amount of support she received from local schoolteachers. They invited her to read excerpts from her book, and even promised to pass out promotional material. To honor such a show of support, Ferrell is donating 10 percent of total book sales to each school she visits. “I’d heard so many teachers talk about a lack of funds in their school libraries, that I thought this would be a great opportunity to help them out,” Ferrell said. “I feel that, as a children’s writer, it’s my responsibility to ensure that the people who mold and shape students’ feelings about reading are well funded, so they can perform their jobs more effectively.”
Ferrell is a graduate of Wright State University’s Creative Writing program and lives in Ohio with her husband and three children. When she’s not working on developing the rich world of Tamenara, she enjoys coaching and playing soccer, and singing with her church choir.
