The newly formed Southeast Queens Chamber of Commerce is serving up a fun business card exchange for professionals and business owners in Queens and beyond. Sip some local wine and dip into some of the most tantalizing, eclectic foods of Southeast Queens.
Queens, NY, January 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Southeast Queens was once known as a rich artistic hub. Artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown and Billie Holiday were once residents of Southeast Queens. Although, those days are long gone, Queens still remain as a destination hotspot for tourists. South Queens has a lot more to offer than given credit for. Eclectic and tantalizing cuisine, authentic Jamaican, Portuguese and Fusion make this part of Queens a place to call home for many.
The Southeast Queens Chamber of Commerce was formed last July to bring more support to local businesses and to highlight the delicious cuisine of the area. On Thursday January 29, 2015 from 6 pm to 9:30 pm, the Southeast Queens Chamber will host its second Meet & Greet networking event called Sip & Dip at the gorgeous, palace-like hall, Z's Party Hall located at 92-07 172nd Street in Jamaica, NY. Z's Party Hall is a proud member of the Southeast Queens Chamber of Commerce.
The first meet and greet was well attending, even Borough President Melinda Katz, Senator Leroy Comrie and Councilman I. Daneek Miller stopped by to support the new much needed chamber.
At Sip and Dip one can expect to be wowed by local singers, Shades of Soul, as they sip on some local wine from Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island. Notable restaurants of Southeast Queens will be serving up hot platters of delicious cuisine. O'Lavrador Restaurant, Golden Krust and Pa-Nash Restaurant are some of the participating restaurants. The event is being sponsored in part by Champagnie Dawkins CPA's, a member of the Southeast Queens Chamber.
In addition, the Southeast Queens Chamber of Commerce will recognize some outstanding community leaders whose heart and soul is in Southeast Queens.
