Pedro Pascal launches an Indiegogo campaign with Asian American filmmaker, Grace Rowe, to help raise funds for her directorial debut, "Virtually."
Los Angeles, CA, January 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Today, Idylwild Pictures will launch a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to raise money for their independent film, “Virtually.” Executive produced by Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones, Narcos and Homeland), the film stars and is written and directed by the award-winning Asian American filmmaker, Grace Rowe, who can also be seen acting on such hit shows as Modern Family, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Grey's Anatomy. The film centers around Sadie, a lonely and isolated woman who must overcome her fears and discover her true self in a virtual reality program called “Virtual Encounters.”
This will be the first film executive produced by Pedro Pascal, who is best known as Prince Oberyn Martell from season four's hit HBO series, Game of Thrones. The film also marks the directorial debut of Grace Rowe, who also wrote, starred in, and produced the award-winning feature film, "I Am That Girl." Longtime friends from high school, Pedro and Grace are collaborating for the first time, and are looking to raise $200,00 on Indiegogo.
Perks for donors include autographed pictures of Pedro Pascal, the chance to pitch a project to the actor, acting coaching from the director, and replica eyeglass frames from one of the film's sponsors, L.A. Eyeworks.
In the introductory short video, clips from the partially shot film will be released, along with video of the producers, Pedro Pascal, Nikki Papadakis, and Grace Rowe. The web address for their Indiegogo campaign is http://igg.me/at/virtually
