BIFA Freight Service Awards 2007 Category Finalists Announced
Over 20 companies have been named as finalists for this year's Freight Service Awards organised by the British International Freight Association (BIFA) - www.bifa.org. Now in their 19th year, the BIFA Freight Service Awards are widely recognised as one of the most prestigious within the logistics and supply chain industry. They encourage and reward high professional standards and special achievements.

Air Freight Award, sponsored by British Airways World Cargo:

The award winners will be announced at the BIFA Annual Lunch and Awards Ceremony to be held at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London on Thursday 17th January 2008. Special guest, broadcaster and former MP for Chester, Mr Gyles Brandreth, will host the event and more than 450 BIFA members and their guests are expected to attend.
The finalists of the Young Freight Forwarder Award, sponsored by Johnson Stevens Agencies, will be announced during the week commencing 19th November 2007.
In addition, one person who has made a significant and lasting contribution to the freight services industry will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by the Bernard Group, at the Awards' lunch.
Peter Quantrill, Director General of BIFA, said: "The standard of entries in all categories was extremely high, showing the industry's commitment to excellence, which is the main objective of the awards. The judges will have a very difficult time this year in determining the award winners.
"We are delighted that the BIFA Awards are so popular with new members entering every year. They represent the chance for the best in the industry to be recognised by their peers and are an important part of BIFA's mission to encourage its members in their pursuit of improved standards within the logistics and supply chain industry."
