ARGI Celebrates 20 Years in Financial Planning Industry: Attributes Success to Doing the Right Thing
ARGI celebrates 20 years of planning financial futures.
Louisville, KY, January 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- ARGI has averaged more than 30% growth in each of the past five years. Co-owner and Managing Partner, Joe Reeves attributes this growth to what he believes is doing the most good for the most people and he plans to continue this focus on personal service and innovation into the next 20 years.
Partners, Joe Reeves and Ron Butt recognized no one was taking a holistic, comprehensive approach to finances, providing objective advice that was individually goal-driven. With this mission in mind, they started ARGI. Over the past two decades, ARGI has grown to five offices in four states with more than $1 Billion in managed assets. ARGI has added divisions to include tax planning, business planning, a retirement plan division, a separate investment management department and decided to become a Registered Investment Adviser to best serve the needs of their clients. They’ve grown from a start-up to nearly 80 employees. ARGI has been ranked on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies for the past six years.*
“This rapid growth could not have been attained if we hadn’t managed the 2008 financial meltdown as we did,” Reeves said. “We walked our clients through the crisis to help minimize further loss. While other financial companies were going under, we were adding employees to serve an emerging market created by the number of companies restructuring.”
These corporate offerings have become a niche for ARGI, providing education and financial advice to more people than ever before. With education, commitment and personal service as three of ARGI’s core values, Reeves believes the success ARGI has experienced can be attributed to “doing the most good for the most people. In 2010, ARGI Investment Services became an independent Registered Investment Adviser (RIA), allowing them to focus on the client’s best interests, not trends and commissions.
Additionally, ARGI created a partnership track for the firm’s advisors, to help protect ARGI’s value, allow ownership opportunity, and create a service culture better than what could be delivered on their own. ARGI recently added an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) for all employees, to encourage each individual’s involvement and investment in the company - and therefore the responsibility for the potential to experience a higher reward for its success.
ARGI employees are encouraged to be active leaders and volunteers in the communities they serve. Each is given 2 days of paid time off each year for community service projects. Reeves is most proud of ARGI’s ranking among the Best Places to Work in Kentucky* for four years in a row.
