Creative Visionary Introduces a New Breed of Action Heroine with a Fantastic Urban Twist

A new kind of action novel from a new breed of writer.

Philadelphia, PA, November 14, 2007 --(PR.com)-- After sitting on his massive manuscript for years, Jonathan Price has finally found an outlet for exposing his creative vision through the world, by publishing his definitive work of imagination through Lulu.com.

Off and on during lunch periods and breaks on his Federal Government job, Jonathan Price has written an exhilarating, 372-page adventure novel with a great union of intense action sequences and steamy relationships.

Not content with the usual fare of African-American writers, Jonathan Price has strayed from the typical pitfalls of drug dealers and urban romance. He has created a truly unique adventure story, with strong black characters at the forefront of an engaging plot that moves along at a brisk pace.

Jonathan Price tells the story of Nia Black, a young, vibrant, beautiful woman of matchless charm and beauty… who just happens to be the criminal underworld’s number one “go-to” girl, with incredible fighting and marksmanship skill. She steals, sabotages and lays siege to anything as long as her clients can afford her, and lives a carefree lifestyle. But when a clandestine organization targets her and tries to use her for her unique gifts, Nia’s personal life collides with her secret street hustling, sparking a citywide conflict. She is caught up in a conspiracy that revives a buried heartache from the past and ignites a fierce rivalry with a warrior as skillful and deadly as she is. Pit against dangerous double agents, platoons of malicious soldiers and frightening amalgams of man and science, Nia finds herself putting her skills to the test and her life on the line, to find purpose in a corrupt world ruled by money and power; to come to terms with her past, her heart and her true calling.

Jonathan Price says, “‘Weapon’ is an exhilarating juxtaposition of comic book-style, over-the-top action and realistic poise and flair, with character depth far beyond the typical action thriller and a strong, multiethnic cast.”

Clyde Andrews, who helped with editing much of the prose, comments on the protagonist of “Weapon”: “I like Nia. She’s smart, charming and while she does bad things, she’s got a great heart. …Refreshing. Jonathan Price does action so well.”

William Rendfeld, writer, calls “Weapon” “…an excellent ride” from start to finish.

Now, “Weapon” is available through Lulu Publishing at http://www.lulu.com/content/1341976 for $14.95 (paperback) or e-book digital download ($7.95). Experience a new kind of action heroine. Join her on her journey from villain, to antihero, to a true hero. Enter Nia Black.
