Sharon Boone, MD grew up in a small rural area. She attended ASU in Boone, NC received BA,MA in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Physics. She went on to medical school at ETSU College of Medicine and after residency, she practiced Family Medicine for almost 20 years. She loved her patients and treated them like they were her children and her patients loved her. Crippling inflammatory arthritises and multiple surgeries on her spine and joints required her to retire at the insistence of her doctors and family. She learned many lessons from all of this. She wrote the book to help others to find love, hope and joy even in the midst of hardship. She wanted to let people know that God is real even when things seem bleak and that God loves them and works miracles even today. She wants to inspire and encourage people with this book.
