PowerStone Property Management Begins Its 22nd Year with Traditional Fundraising Effort
PowerStone hosts a kick-off luncheon and fundraiser for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.
Irvine, CA, January 30, 2015 --(PR.com)-- PowerStone Property Management Inc., a full service Orange County, California based property management firm, today announced, as part of its 22nd anniversary celebration, that it will continue its support of the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF) by hosting a kick-off luncheon and fundraiser on February 13th. The luncheon will raise money for the Foundation in advance of its annual Reaching For The Cure, Run and Ride event on Saturday March 28th and Sunday March 29th.
“Ending pediatric cancer is such an important mission and it is something that all of us here at PowerStone support,” says Kendrah Kay, committee chairperson who adds, “We’re hoping that the commitments from partners will exceed last year’s record donation.”
Last year PowerStone raised more than $40,000, making it a top contributor and the most ever from PowerStone in the three years of its sponsorship.
This year the following five Platinum Level Sponsors have donated $2,500 each: Antis Roofing & Waterproofing, ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance, Berding & Well, LLP Law Firm, O'Connell Landscape Maintenance Inc., and James LeCourt Plumbing.
PCRF’s Executive Director Jeri Wilson says: “Team PowerStone demonstrates the effectiveness of a coordinated effort in the fight against pediatric cancer. By harnessing the cooperation of their employees, friends and business associates, Team PowerStone has raised an extraordinary amount of money. As a Foundation, PCRF is honored to guide these resources and grant it back out to life saving research happening at 10 institutions across the country.”
Being one of Orange County’s family favorite community and fundraising events for pediatric cancer, the Reaching for the Cure weekend is two unforgettable days of celebration. For serious runners, casual joggers and walkers, cyclists, volunteers and spectators in Southern California, this 2-day charity event funds research that will help find a cure for children’s cancer. Over 6,000 participants are expected to attend the event held at Irvine Valley College. For more information go to www.pcrf-kids.org.
