PACE Center for Girls of Collier County Florida was honored by Kelly E. Capolino, founder of the Diamond Volunteer Awards program, on January 22, 2015.
Naples, FL, January 30, 2015 --(PR.com)-- PACE Center for Girls, Collier was honored by the Diamond Volunteer Awards program on January 22, 2015. The private reception, along with awards presentation, was held at the Naples Art Association’s von Liebig Art Center.
Kelly E. Capolino P.A., a Naples real estate professional with Keating Associates and founder of the Diamond Volunteer Awards program, presented PACE Center for Girls with a 2015 Diamond Volunteer Award for the valuable contributions their organization and volunteers make “believing in girls” and providing an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy. Marianne Kearns, Executive Director, accepted the award on behalf of all those involved.
PACE also chose to recognize Libby Fero at the reception Thursday evening. As a volunteer with PACE for the past four years, Fero served as last year’s Chair for the annual PACE fundraiser, Love That Dress!, and was invited to join the PACE Collier Board of Directors as the youngest member and most experienced with the annual event.
“Libby will do anything for the girls at PACE. She thinks big and doesn’t give up on her goals or ideas,” said PACE Executive Director, Marianne Kearns. “She demonstrates what it means to be a leader, builds rapport with others and is not afraid to ask for necessary resources. She is truly deserving of this recognition.”
Capolino explained during the award presentation that each non-profit, Diamond Volunteer award winner is chosen based on the application that best exemplifies exceptional volunteer dedication and extraordinary positive influence in the community. She was inspired to create the awards program six years ago after getting involved as a volunteer herself with multiple local charities. Three organizations are chosen each year for the award.
