Kidlington, United Kingdom, January 31, 2015 --(PR.com)-- As specialists in industrial adhesives with long lifetime performance criteria Intertronics are delighted that their relationship with British artist Carrie Reichardt is now demonstrating exactly that principle at the V&A Disobedient Objects Exhibition which is open until 1st February 2015.
In this case adhere IRS 2125 flexible epoxy adhesive was used eight years ago to mount ceramic tiles on a Nissan diesel pickup, known as the “Tiki Love Truck.” Used extensively as a mobile exhibit and parade float around the UK, there has been no adhesive failure on any tiles.
The V&A exhibition (www.vam.ac.uk/content/exhibitions/disobedient-objects/) examines the powerful role of objects such as this for social change, from suffragette teapots to protest robots. It seeks to demonstrate how political activism drives a wealth of design ingenuity and collective creativity in art and design. This constant movement to develop and change is one that Intertronics recognise in the industrial arena – from improved dispensing to better adhesive chemistries. The IRS 2125 is an excellent example, since it meets the requirements of many manufacturers to provide tough bonds able to withstand the extreme vibration, flexing and high temperatures found in harsh industrial or vehicle environments.
adhere IRS 2125 is a high performance black resin system. Its combination of flexibility and adhesive strength lends itself to many technology bonding and sealing applications. A two part system with a simple 1:1 mix ratio, it is supplied in a convenient side-by-side double syringe cartridge, complete with static mixing nozzles. It is suitable for cable harness assemblies, wiring, cable joints and terminations, heat-shrink sealing, electronics assemblies, downhole and oil well operations and for structural bonding. It is suitable for use with substrates such as metal, glass, wood, rubber and many plastics at up to 150°C, with outstanding chemical resistance including moisture, diesel/fuel oils and hydraulic fluid.
