Toll Brothers Announces Devereux Colorado as Winner of Its Annual Charity Holiday Decorating Content
Devereux Colorado of Westminster was selected as the top charity and received $1,000 to support its mission of treating children and adolescents who have psychiatric, emotional and behavioral challenges.
Westminster, CO, January 31, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Toll Brothers Colorado recognized a local charity as the winner in its fifth annual decorating contest. Devereux Colorado of Westminster was selected as the top charity and received $1,000 to support its mission of treating children and adolescents who have psychiatric, emotional and behavioral challenges.
Local charities were given $200 for supplies and then challenged with decorating a room in one of Toll Brothers’ model homes. The winning charity, Devereux (www.devereuxco.org), received its first place award for decoration of the model home in Toll Brothers’ The Preserve at McKay Shores in Broomfield.
In 1943, a young woman named Cleo Spurlock Wallace began treating children with speech and language problems. What began as a school in her basement has become Devereux Colorado, the Rocky Mountain Region’s most comprehensive psychiatric center for children and adolescents.
“Our team had a great time decorating the model home, and we were overjoyed to learn that our organization was chosen as the winner of this year’s competition,” says Amy Gorman, Devereux marketing director. “The $1,000 prize will go a long way in providing additional services to our clients. We would like to extend our gratitude to Toll Brothers for inviting us to participate in this event.”
“All of the groups did a great job of decorating the model homes,” says Mark Bailey, Toll Brothers Colorado Division President. “The contest was close but Devereux received the most points from our judges based on the categories of originality, color scheme, placement, use of materials, and overall holiday feel.”
