Stars of TV's "Meteorite Men" to Reunite at Tucson Gem Show
Duo Will Share Exhibit Space and Begin Filming New Web Series
Tucson, AZ, January 31, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Meteorite experts Geoff Notkin and Steve Arnold, known to millions of fans as the stars of the award-winning television series "Meteorite Men," will reunite at the upcoming Tucson gem and mineral shows beginning Friday, January 30.
For the first time ever, the famous meteorite hunting duo will occupy a joint exhibit space, each bringing their most spectacular meteorites to display and sell. Many of the meteorites were found on "Meteorite Men," which chronicled Geoff and Steve's global expeditions in search of rare and valuable space rocks from 2009–2012.
The shared showroom will be located in Suite 323 at the Hotel Tucson City Center, 475 North Granada, and will be open daily from 10 am–6 pm, January 30–February 14. Admission is free and open to the public. Notkin, a Tucson resident, owns Aerolite Meteorites, Inc., while Arnold's company, Arnold Meteorites, is based in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The meteorite hunters will be available to greet fans and sign autographs as time permits.
While together in Tucson, Geoff and Steve will also reunite in front of the camera to begin filming an all-new web series entitled "Meteorite Hunters Unlimited." The series will follow the pair on their latest adventures and will feature the same friendly rivalry that has garnered fans across the globe. For the latest developments on the new project, visit www.meteoritehuntersunlimited.com.
This year marks Geoff Notkin's 17th consecutive appearance at the Tucson gem and mineral shows. Along with the Hotel Tucson City Center location, he will have two additional exhibit spaces, including one at the Kino Gem and Mineral Show, 2500 East Ajo Way. The Kino meteorite tent will be open daily from 10 am–6 pm, January 31–February 15.
New for 2015, Notkin's third location will be at Aerolite Meteorites, 109 E. Mabel Street in downtown Tucson, and will offer the largest public meteorite display in town. Though not typically open to the public, Aerolite headquarters will accept visitors by appointment only from 10 am–4 pm daily, January 30–February 14. Tours will include a glimpse of the hidden bunker, a specially constructed set that will be featured in upcoming "Meteorite Hunters Unlimited" webisodes. Prospective visitors may schedule an appointment by calling (520) 742-3333 or completing the contact form at www.geoffnotkin.com.
Along with a shared passion for meteorites, Notkin and Arnold also share the same birthday, February 1. They will celebrate in style again this year with the Annual Meteorite Mayhem Party, a public event being held on Friday, February 5 at the downtown YWCA, 525 Bonita Avenue. The event will include live music by the Mission Creeps, a full bar and hors d'oeuvres, and the world premiere of a new high-tech entertainment spectacle. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $5. The party starts at 7 pm, with the world-famous Harvey Awards, presented by Geoff and Steve to honor outstanding accomplishments in the meteorite field, at 9 pm.
Media wishing to interview Geoff and Steve during the Tucson gem shows are asked to contact Becca Gladden, Director of Public Relations, at limelightwriting@aol.com or (623) 210-6554 to schedule an interview time.
