Nancy Santanello, MD, MS to Speak at CRO Analytics’ Seminar on Clinical Trial Performance

The former Merck VP of Epidemiology will present on "Including Patient-Centricity in Clinical Research."

New Hope, PA, February 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- CRO Analytics, the leading provider of validated clinical trial performance data is pleased to announce that Nancy Santanello, MD, MS, will speak about “Including Patient-Centricity in Clinical Research” at their the upcoming half-day seminar “Assessing and Improving Clinical Trial Performance” on March 20, 2015.

“We are honored to have Dr. Santanello, who has tremendous experience in the clinical trial space, presenting at the CRO Analytics seminar,” said Peter Malamis, CEO of CRO Analytics. “Over the course of her 23 years at Merck, her commitment to quality has been unwavering. Her very pragmatic perspective on a very timely topic is very much in keeping with our mission to provide actionable data that helps improve clinical trials.”

Dr. Santanello’s experience spans pharmacoepidemiology, product safety, use of real-world data for safety and effectiveness, and patient reported and clinical outcomes for clinical development and epidemiology. Most recently, she led the Department of Epidemiology for Merck before retiring in December and opening a consulting practice.

“CRO Analytics’ seminar will provide attendees with strategies on better measuring and improving the performance of their clinical trials,” stated Dr. Santanello. “Patient-centricity has become a fixture in discussions about clinical research. Whether driven by the efforts of patient groups, the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), or the industry itself, it’s exciting and gratifying to see the explosion of interest. However, without properly measuring the impact of the myriad of tactics being employed, we can’t identify and fine-tune best practices.”

The seminar, led by Dr. Michael Howley, Clinical Professor, LeBow School of Business at Drexel University, is intended for those seeking scientifically-validated solutions for measuring and improving clinical trial performance. Industry experts will discuss choosing scientific performance measures, as well as the top practices behind generating scientific measures of clinical trial quality that can be used to assess performance and guide quality investments.

Those interested in attending the half-day (9-12 with breakfast available at 8:30 and lunch available at the conclusion) seminar on March 20, 2015 at the Robert Wood Johnson Conference Center in Mercerville, NJ should register for tickets on the “Assessing and Improving Clinical Trial Performance” Eventbrite page: http://bit.ly/CROAnalyticsSemiar
