Foreign Language Book Fair and Open House
The International School of Arizona will be hosting a foreign language book fair with books in French and Spanish.
Scottsdale, AZ, February 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- This is no ordinary book fair. The International School of Arizona will be hosting a foreign language book fair with books in French and Spanish. The books will range from pre-reading books all the way to books for the 8th grade reading level. The school is also hosting a bookmark making workshop for the whole family to enjoy while others browse through the books.
“The International School of Arizona is very proud to be able to bring Arizona the best in French and Spanish literature for children,” said the Director of Curriculum, Veronique Bevali.
In addition to the book fair the International School of Arizona will also be hosting their Open House. Families are welcome to come and learn about the exciting opportunities the school has to offer. There will be live music from the French singer, Cécile Hortensia and a book signing by Aida Ramdani. Mrs. Ramdani has written books such as “Alphabet de la vie pour les grands et petits,” (Alphabet of Life for the Little Ones and Not So Little) and “Je ne savais pas que j’étais née Artiste,” (I Didn’t Know I was Born an Artist.)
“Brain research is now demonstrating that learning a second language at an early age benefits children in every aspect of their lives and has an indelible impact on the brain - on abstract thinking, creativity, problem solving and more. These capacities hold the children in good stead for future studies, additional languages, careers and adult life,” said Dr. Zilber, the International School of Arizona’s new Head of School.
The book fair will be held on Sunday February 8th, from 2-4pm, at the schools Satellite campus, 11211 E Via Linda, Scottsdale, AZ 85249.
