Pink Elephant Announces 2014 IT Excellence Awards Finalists

Winners to be Announced at Pink15 in Las Vegas.

Burlington, Ontario, Canada, February 07, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Pink Elephant is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2014 IT Excellence Awards, which recognize individual and corporate commitment to IT excellence and IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices. Pink Elephant will announce the 2014 IT Excellence Awards winners at its 19th Annual International IT Service Management Conference and Exhibition – “Pink15” – at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, held February 15-18, 2015.

“Implementing ITSM best practices is no easy feat, but our 2014 nominations have proved it can be done with great results,” said George Spalding, Executive Vice President of Pink Elephant. “Our IT Excellence awards celebrate the achievements of those who have been successful, and I send huge congratulations to all finalists!”

The awards honor the best in five categories: Project Of The Year, Practitioner Of The Year, Case Study Of The Year, Innovation Of The Year, and IT Leader Of The Year. A panel of ITSM experts will review the finalists’ submission entries and choose winners who best meet the criteria outlined below:

Project Of The Year: Recognizes an organization that has demonstrated significant commitment to best practice frameworks including ITIL®, ISO, COBIT®, Lean IT, and Six Sigma. This year’s finalists are:

· The Prudential Insurance Company of America
· Allstate
· Bank of New York Mellon

Practitioner Of The Year: Recognizes an individual who has shown commitment to best practices, continuous improvement and quality principles. This year’s finalists are:

· Tony Krasinski, Erie Insurance
· Michele Gough, Amerisource Bergin

Innovation of the Year: This award recognizes a product or service developed by the vendor community that has made the greatest contribution to ITSM in the last calendar year. This year’s finalists are:

· EasyVista
· Cherwell
· Numerify

IT Leader Of The Year: This award recognizes a senior IT leader (VP, AVP, or C-level) who has successfully led, inspired and positively influenced others to achieve successful business results using ITIL or another ITSM framework. This year’s finalists are:

· Theresa Bamrick – Deputy CIO, SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, Stanford University
· John Kearney – CIO, McMaster University

Case Study Of The Year: This award is one of the most prestigious, because it is chosen by conference attendees. During Pink15, Pink Elephant will tabulate evaluation results from all case study presentations. The award is given to the individual who delivers the most compelling session and receives the highest score. Finalists will be announced during the conference.
