Oswestry, United Kingdom, February 07, 2015 --(PR.com)-- A Level and AS Level Business students at Walford and North Shropshire College (WNSC) have conducted a major piece of research, they have surveyed Oswestry’s parking habits. The survey took place over the busy Christmas period and, identified footfall, parking habits and cost of parking in the town.
Business students took to the streets, developing a questionnaire and seeking feedback from those visiting the town centre. Business students, Lloyd Hughes and Jack Roberts, reported the findings of their research to the Oswestry Chamber of Commerce (OCC) (Wednesday 4th February).
Sarah Probert, Business Course Leader, commented "Parking, parking habits and the management of a towns parking infrastructure has a significant effect upon the economy of any small market town. Understanding the interaction in Oswestry is key to the development strategies supporting growth in local business commerce."
Sarah added "The business students have worked hard to both create, design and carry-out and report to the Oswestry Chamber of Commerce the findings of this research, I am grateful to Heather Noble, Chair of the Chamber, for inviting us to conduct this work and I look forward to working with the Chamber to extend the research further."
