A fundraising gala to support Brain Tumor Alliance and their mission to support brain tumor research and raise awareness to eliminate brain tumors.

Clearwater, FL, February 07, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Brain Tumor Alliance Announces Inaugural Gala 'Prohibition' To Benefit All Children's Hospital.

Historic Casa Coe da Sol transforms into a Chicago speakeasy to raise awareness for brain tumors as well as provide funding for affected families.

Join the most generous hearts in the Tampa Bay area on Saturday, May 9, 2015 as they take a step back in time to an era filled with excitement, allure and mystery. Nestled within the historic Casa Coe da Sol (House of the Setting Sun), Brain Tumor Alliance's inaugural gala promises to be a night full of tantalizing sights and sounds set in a Chicago speakeasy right out of the flamboyant Roaring Twenties.

Casa Coe da Sol, Florida architect Addison Mizner's last development and his only one on Florida's west coast, resides against the backdrop of the Gulf of Mexico. Guests will have a waterfront view as they dance the night away to the riveting sounds of jazz courtesy of DeLeon Entertainment. Attendees will indulge their taste buds with 1920’s Americana cuisine prepared by Chef Tyson Grant from Parkshore Grill as they dine at a supper club set under the stars. Other highlights include a live auction, performance artists and a champagne room.

Brain Tumor Alliance plans to continue its mission of providing financial and emotional support to those families affected by brain tumors as well funding clinical and research trials and raising awareness of brain tumors. The funds raised during this event will be donated to All Children's Hospital in Saint Petersburg.

Founded in 2008, the organization was then known as Miles for Hope. Its primary focus involved traveling to major cities across the United States to organize race events dedicated to raising money for brain tumor research. Additionally, the non-profit provided financial assistance to those families affected by brain tumors. In 2014, the organization harnessed new energy and adopted an emphasis that pointed beyond race events. The name change to Brain Tumor Alliance solidified its focus and Prohibition is its flagship event that highlights its new vision.
