Largest UFO Convention Returns to Arizona This Month
The International UFO Congress will be held February 18 – 22, 2015 at the We-Ko-Pa Resort and Casino in Fountain Hills, AZ.
Tempe, AZ, February 08, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The International UFO Congress, hosted by Open Minds Production, is the Guinness Book of Records largest annual conference on UFOs and extraterrestrial life in the world and it’s returning to Arizona this month. This will be the event’s 24th year and the 5th year in the Phoenix area.
The conference will be held at the We-Ko-Pa Resort and Casino February 18th – 22nd and features over 20 speakers, panel discussions, a film festival, parties, vendors, experiencer sessions, and a night-vision sky watch. Conference admission will be sold in packages for those many guests who make a week of the event, along with à la carte options available for those who just want to check it out for an afternoon. The vendor room, film festival, and sky watch are free and open to the public.
The headlining event on Saturday features a Q & A session with Bob Lazar, the man who put Area 51 on the map when he alleged that he worked on reverse-engineering alien technology at a secret facility in Nevada called S-4. Although he has largely avoided speaking about his alleged experiences in public, both Lazar and KLAS investigative reporter George Knapp will present February 21st in the afternoon.
Panel presentations entitled Rare Cases of Mass Alien Abductions, UFO Jeopardy, and UFO Secrets Leaked – Whistleblowers Tell All will feature authors, researchers and TV personalities and provide the audience a chance to interact with speakers and ask the pertinent questions.
“The stigma surrounding the UFO topic and the search for extraterrestrial life continues to dwindle, slowly, but there has been progress. This conference has been an incredible arena where we can explore this topic in a serious light. We’re really excited about this year’s program and have worked hard to bring in people who will explore a plethora of topics related to the UFO/extraterrestrial mystery,” said co-organizer Maureen Elsberry. “We’re not asking you to believe every speaker you hear, were asking you to keep an open mind.”
Another exciting event this year will be the free Night Vision sky watch on Friday February 20th led by Ben Hansen, the lead investigator from the popular SyFy show Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files. Night Vision Ops and Night Optics USA, a Bushnell company, will be providing some of their latest military-grade technology for the watch. Night Vision Ops will also have a table in the vendor room all week at the event where people will be able to purchase the gear.
The event will also feature a cocktail party, the EBE Film Festival Awards Banquet, and a performance by local musicians the Austen Mack Quartet.
