San Jose, CA, February 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Anatomage is releasing Anatomage Table 3.0, the latest update to the Anatomage Table. The Anatomage Table is a virtual dissection table designed to show all real patient data in a life-size scale. The Anatomage Table is currently in use at more than 200 institutions including Stanford University, Mayo Clinic, University of Edinburgh, Imperial College London, University of Massachusetts, and Case Western Reserve University.
The Table has real human 3D interactive scans. The male cadaver has over 1,000 segmented and annotated structures. Table 3.0 contains high-resolution data sets of regional anatomy, and the Anatomage library contains a wide array of pathology cases that range from medical device demonstrations to rare and unique clinical cases. The Anatomage Table offers a solution to the limitations of cadavers and provides a novel experience that allows users to gain a more comprehensive understanding of anatomy. The FDA cleared the Anatomage Table software for “radiologists, clinicians, referring physicians and other qualified individuals to retrieve, process, render, review, and assist in diagnosis.” The Table enables doctors to quickly analyze a patient’s scan in 3D with multiple renderings to further highlight specific tissue for accurate diagnosis. Surgical planning can be visualized and post-operative analysis can be reviewed on the Table.
Based on direct feedback from institutions currently using the Anatomage Table, a multitude of new features have been added to enhance the educational experience. Instructors can utilize a built in curriculum and create their own password protected quiz with multiple pin styles. The new Explore tool can remove a single anatomical structure, isolate it, or highlight it. The Anatomage Table Library has more than doubled in 3.0 with over 160 new pathology cases. Multiple skull scans from the Smithsonian Institution are now included. The Male cadaver has received extensive resolution updates including increased color accuracy and detailed segmentation.
Anatomage is headquartered in downtown San Jose, California, the capital of Silicon Valley. Their products are in use at thousands of clinics worldwide. Anatomage’s focus is on 3D medical technology. The company’s innovative approach has made them a technical leader, shaping and redefining the industry standards.
