Purplepass Chosen as Ticking Vendor for Southeast Texas Mardi Gras 2015
For Second Year, Purplepass Gears Up to Help Over 60,000 Attendees Get Into and Through This Major Festival
Port Arthur, TX, February 10, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The organizers of the Southeast Texas Mardi Gras Festival in Port Arthur, Texas have chosen Purplepass as the preferred ticketing vendor for the 2015 event. This is the second year running that Purplepass has been chosen for this big job, likely because of the success of last year’s event.
Purplepass will be in charge of all online ticket pre-sales, creating printed material and providing the hardware and technology necessary to get the expected tens of thousands of guests into the Southeast Texas Mardi Gras Festival quickly and smoothly. Additionally, Purplepass will manage all of the Fun Passes (attraction wristbands) for the festival. Attendees can even automatically “check-in” on Facebook when they purchase tickets online with Purplepass. The ease-of-use of Purplepass ticketing helped bring Port Arthur’s biggest festival into the digital world and improved the experience for both attendees and the event organizers.
Handling the ticketing for an event of this size is a very big job and one that Purplepass is prepared to tackle. Purplepass executive Gabriel Afana stated: “The 2014 Mardi Gras event in Port Arthur was highly successful, and taught us a lot about events of this caliber. We feel confident that the 2015 event will operate more smoothly—even with more visitors expected and more attractions available than in the year before.”
The 2015 Southeast Texas Mardi Gras Festival will be held in Port Arthur, Texas from February 12 through February 15. The multi-day event includes a number of parades, food vendors, attractions, rides, an umbrella brigade and an arts and crafts festival. Local and nationally recognized musicians will be performing at a number of stages around the facility. In years past, the event has attracted 60,000 or more visitors, including both local residents and those who travel from the region and from around the country. Accommodations may be available for RV owners in the park or at nearby hotels.
Purplepass is more than just a ticketing program. As a full-featured event organization solution, this tool will make the Southeast Texas Mardi Gras experience smooth and enjoyable for the thousands of expected attendees during the event. The Purplepass team is excited to see how STMG operates this year with all of the new features Purplepass brings to an event of this size.
