Edaville USA Kicks Off 2007 Festival of Lights and Thanksgiving Food Drive
Edaville USA has opened their gates for the 2007 Christmas Festival of Lights.
Carver, MA, November 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- The Christmas Festival of Lights runs from November 9-11, 16-18, 23-30, 2007 and December 1-31, 2007 (closed Christmas day) and January 1, 2008. This season, Edaville USA expects a record-breaking 180,000 to visit the Festival of Lights.
Make a donation of non-perishable food items to Edaville USA’s Thanksgiving Food Drive (benefiting local food pantries) on November 16th, 17th or 18th and receive $5 off admission for each person in your party.
For five generations, the Christmas Festival of Lights has been a premier holiday attraction for New Englanders. Visitors climb aboard the heated narrow gauge train and enjoy a scenic two mile train ride (the perfect distance for those with young children) through seven million twinkling holiday lights.
Special attractions include an Entertainment Stage with the Bristol Studio performers singing holiday carols. And, of course, visitors will have an opportunity to meet Santa Claus.
From kiddie and vintage amusement rides to animated displays and Fred Heims Half-Scale construction equipment to the Ellis Indoor Play area, complete with a large ball pit and tree maze; Cranberry World and a number of restaurants and snack areas, there’s something for the kid in everyone at Edaville USA.
Edaville USA is located just off Route 58 in South Carver, MA (less than one hour from Boston and Providence). There is ample free parking and Edaville USA is accessible to the handicapped. Owned and operated by Brenda Johnson and Robert Julian since 2003, Edaville USA has undergone many exciting changes over the years, including the reconfiguration of the entire rail course and the incorporation of vintage amusement rides such as an antique carousel and an illuminated Ferris wheel. Other attractions throughout the year include “Day Out With Thomas” a family event centered on the Thomas the Tank Engine classic storybook; daylight trips through brilliant seasonal foliage and the harvest of the cranberry crop in the Fall and late afternoon and evening rides through the Holiday Festival of Lights in the winter.
