Pristine Environments Expands Its Energy and Building Intelligence Practice with Acquisition of Sustainable SoCal, Inc.
Pristine Environments, a leading provider of specialized facility management (FM) solutions throughout North America, announced today that it has acquired Sustainable SoCal Inc. (SSI), a San Diego-based provider of building intelligence, energy management and construction management services for biotech, genomics and datacenter industries.
San Diego, CA, February 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Pristine Environments, a leading provider of specialized facility management (FM) solutions throughout North America, announced today that it has acquired Sustainable SoCal Inc. (SSI), a San Diego-based provider of building intelligence, energy management and construction management services for biotech, genomics and datacenter industries. Yann Palmore, the founder of SSI, will lead the company’s Building Intelligence and Energy practice as the company’s Chief Sustainability Officer. The SSI team services clients in both California and Washington DC, including J. Craig Venter Institute, Synthetic Genomics (SGI), Human Longevity (HLI) and several other leading scientific firms.
Prior to founding and serving as President of SSI, Yann Palmore was the Director of Operations for J. Craig Venter Institute, a leading genomics research institute, where he worked closely with JCVI’s executive management to identify an architect and plan their new facility in La Jolla, CA. Since 2010, Mr. Palmore has overseen the project as Construction Manager and Owner’s Representative for JCVI. The new LEED Platinum laboratory facility is anticipated to be the world’s first Zero Net Energy (ZNE) laboratory.
