Keystone Prepares for "Mystery Gala"
On Friday, May 1, 2015, Keystone House, Inc. will be hosting their annual fundraising event “Mystery Gala,” giving people a chance to support this organization that has spent the last 43 years providing housing and supportive services to adults over 18 years of age who struggle daily with mental illness.
Norwalk, CT, February 11, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Mental illness is a highly personal experience, and the same condition may be experienced by two people in completely different ways. Mental illness is not a character flaw or a sign of a personal weakness. It can strike anyone. It knows no age limit, whether you are rich or poor, and does not discriminate as to race, creed or color. Knowing how to help those dealing with a mental illness can be a mystery.

The work that Keystone does 24/7 allows their clients to adjust to and remain in the community environments of their choice with personal success and satisfaction with as much independence as individually possible.
To demonstrate their work on a very personal level, the highlight of the evening’s program will be a Keystone client, sharing their challenges and success thanks to Keystone.
“I am inspired on a daily basis by both the staff at Keystone and the clients they serve. The personalized approach for each client results in a 97% overall satisfaction rate by Keystone clients,” said Elizabeth P. Ball, Keystone Board Member and Chairperson of Fundraising Committee.
Former News 12 CT anchor and Easton resident, David Smith, will be the master of ceremonies for the evening. There will be an open bar, dinner, music, dancing, mystery boxes and a paddle raise.
TFI Envision, Inc. of Norwalk, a Success Sponsor for the event, is also donating the creative development of the event materials and PR again this year as they have done for the last several years.
This is Keystone’s primary fundraising event, which helps to support their mission. Keystone’s purpose is to assist adults facing the many challenges of a psychiatric disability to live a happy and safe life. Keystone helps nurture personal success and satisfaction through an independent housing program and rehabilitation services.
Keystone’s residential services include two transitional housing programs, a long-term housing program, and a supportive apartment program. In addition to housing, Keystone offers psychosocial programming that promotes social, cultural, recreational, educational, and rehabilitation services.
Individual tickets at $150. For more information, Advanced Reservations and Sponsorship Opportunities, contact Kim Carter at (203) 956-7818 or email kcarter@keystonehouse.org.
