Dr. Robert Schiestl is a Professor of Pathology, Laboratory Medicine, Radiation Oncology and Environmental Health Sciences at UCLA. Previously, he served as Assistant and Associate Professor in the Department of Cancer Cell Biology at the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Schiestl’s work focuses on the molecular basis, the causes and the prevention of cancer. Dr. Schiestl received a B.S. in Biology and Biochemistry and a Ph.D. in Biology and Genetics from the University of Vienna, Austria.
