The Medical Tourism Association will hold its first membership meeting which will be open to the general public December 3rd at 8:30 am in Washington DC. Medical Tourism otherwise known as Health Tourism or Medical Travel is where Americans travel overseas to foreign countries to receive world class medical treatment at almost 90% less than in the United States. Over 500,000 Americans traveled overseas in 2006, and it is expected in 2008 that several million Americans will travel overseas.
