Christmas Sensation, Portable North Pole, Gives Back to Kids’ Hospitals
Every year, Portable North Pole, pledges money to Children's Hospitals around the world in a program designed to “put smiles back on the faces of sick children.”
Montreal, Canada, February 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Christmas might be over but the work of the North Pole elves never stops. After another successful season delivering the magical Portable North Pole - PNP (www.portablenorthpole.com) personalized video messages from Santa to boys and girls around the world, PNP pledged a total of over $150,000 since the launch of the program, to children’s hospitals and charities around the world.
The digital platform was invented in Montreal - part of the famous PNP Console that Santa uses to connect with children all over the world - utilizes geolocation technology to allocate 5% of all web transactions to a children’s hospital in the region of the buyer, making it easy for their fans to give locally.
The PNP Children’s Hospital Program has been running for 4 years and includes over 40 participating hospitals around the world. It was designed to “put smiles back on the faces of sick children.”
“Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is proud to be a recipient of the Portable North Pole Hospital Program. The donations raised during the holiday season helps our caregivers continue to provide the very best care to our patients and their families,” said Joanne Reyes, Assistant Vice President of Development at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
2014 was its 7th season, where they surpassed the milestone of over 100 million personalized PNP video messages viewed since it began. On Christmas Eve, the PNP mobile app was ranked number one in the Entertainment category on the AppStore for the USA, Canada, UK, France, Australia, Ireland and many other countries. PNP Santa’s booming online community includes a Facebook page with over 700,000 fans is a public forum for parents and children to share their Christmas experiences with Santa himself.
PNP takes its responsibilities to families and the tradition of Christmas very seriously. “Santa Claus is a message of hope and via the PNP Console we are able to bring not only bring fun and joy to everyone, but the comfort of Santa to people around the world,” says CEO Alexandre Bérard. “Children are the heart of the magic that PNP creates, that’s why we continue to offer the free Classic personalized video message option and why we are delighted to give back to our hospital partners, season after season.”
Portable North Pole’s website was certified by the kidSAFE Seal Program last year, which identifies online playgrounds that are safe and suitably ad-free for children. PNP also hopes to offer more language options in 2015, to bring fun to audiences beyond their loyal English and French fans.
