CRB Launches Unique Mobile Thermal Transfer Printing Solution Using Datamax-O’Neil's MP Nova Printer
Thermal transfer printers offer maximum reliability, stability and the best usability when installed on forklift trucks and stacker cranes.
Bourg-Lès-Valence, France, February 18, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Datamax-O'Neil's partner CRB Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH has developed a mobile printer solution that can be used to produce thermal transfer labels directly on the warehouse vehicle, a world-wide first. The solution is based on Datamax-O'Neil's MP Nova thermal transfer printer, allowing high print speeds and the use of large rolls of labels. Thanks to their metal housing, the devices are also suitable for use in harsh industrial environments and even withstand the severe vibrations of forklift trucks and stacker cranes. What is more, the printers have a WLAN module to provide wireless data transmission and are equipped with firmware developed by CRB which ensures their compatibility with previously installed printer systems.
"The Datamax-O’Neil MP Nova mobile printer solution is the only option in the sector for printing thermal transfer labels of this size quickly, flexibly and reliably on a forklift truck," says Ulrich Beckmann, managing director of CRB Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH. "We are currently seeing a significant demand for mobile thermal transfer printers in the market and have found a suitable partner in Datamax-O’Neil allowing us to offer these solutions."
The printer meets a current requirement from the automotive industry, among others: manufacturers of components that are used in this market or are supplied as spare parts must have a label based on the VDA/Odette standard. Companies require at least a 6-inch printer, generally only available as a stationary device, to produce these labels. The new MP Nova thermal transfer solution now allows users also to produce the standardised labels in a mobile set-up.
"We are delighted that our close and constructive collaboration with our partners has once again produced a unique innovation from which companies in the widest array of sectors will benefit," added Christian Bischoff, Regional General Manager EMEA at Datamax-O’Neil. "Thanks to the mobile printer solution using the CRB WLAN module for wireless data communication, users no longer need expensive vehicle terminal units through which printer jobs usually have to be transmitted to the printers fitted. Savings on each truck are in four figures."
The mobile solution using Datamax-O’Neil's MP Nova mobile thermal transfer printer speeds up picking using forklifts trucks or stacker cranes, optionally using thermosensitive or thermal transfer printing methods. Label printing can be adapted to provide print resistance to heat and moisture. The MP Nova printer solution is available from CRB.
