Builders Site Protection Chosen to Provide Floor and Jamb Protection to Southern Oregon University's Science Building Renovation

Bend, OR, February 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Builders Site Protection today announced they have been chosen to provide temporary surface protection to Southern Oregon University’s Science Building renovation. This Andersen Construction project will feature surface protection for door jambs and floor protection.

The Science Building at Southern Oregon University is undergoing a number of renovations. Some $21 million is being spent to upgrade the aging building with new windows, new heating and cooling, improved ventilation, and seismic retrofitting. In addition to building improvements, Andersen Construction will also be adding new labs and more student space to the Science Building. Once the project is completed in fall 2015, the revamped Science Building will achieve a LEED Silver rating.

Surface Protection will be provided in the forms of RamBoard floor protection and adjustable width Jamb Guard. RamBoard is being used to protect much of the 78,000 square feet of floor space in the renovated building, and all of the building’s door jambs will be kept damage-free by the adjustable width jamb protection. RamBoard floor protection is particularly versatile in that it can protect every type of floor; it is even breathable to allow vapors to escape from curing floors.
