Tatiana Kavlin is the First Graduate of the Irish Academy of Public Relations in Uruguay
New York, NY, February 25, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Tatiana Kavlin has become the first person in Uruguay to graduate from the Irish Academy of Public Relations. Ms Kavlin successfully completed the Academy’s online Certificate in Public Relations course (through Spanish).
Tatiana Kavlin, a former headmistress, commented, "I am the owner of a cultural centre, Kavlin Centro Cultural, and I needed to let people know about it in Uruguay. That is why I studied this course. It will help me with my work. I never studied by distance before but I found it wonderful. I am now finished – at 76 years old – and I am using my new skills already. I am already trying to get to know people who would be interested in the centre and want to be connected with the arts."
The Certificate in Public Relations course, which is also taught in English, French, Polish and Russian, teaches students how to write press releases, organise photo-calls or generate publicity. Participants also find out about writing ezines and newsletters, taking part in exhibitions and how to handle a crisis.
Ms. Kavlin enrolled on the course through the World Trade Centre (WTC) in Montevideo. The WTC promote the Academy’s Online Certificate in Public Relations course to their members in Uruguay and Paraguay.
Ellen Gunning, Director of the Irish Academy of Public Relations said, "I am so proud that we have our first graduate in Uruguay and I am personally delighted that it is Tatiana. She is a role model for life-long learning not only for business people and for women everywhere. Her family are rightly proud of her, as are we, her extended family, in the Irish Academy. This course of study is very practical and I have no doubt that we will all be seeing an increased profile for the centre over the coming months."
The Irish Academy of Public Relations is an online education provider with offices in Dublin, London and New York. Its courses include journalism, event management, public relations and online marketing. The Academy’s courses are also taught in Greece, Nigeria and across Ireland through their Schools and Colleges partner programme. The Academy has a truly international alumni, with students from Montevideo to Madrid and Paris to Perth.
