Art of Cool Festival Seeks Volunteers to Enrich Attendee Experience
Three-Day World-Class Jazz and Soul Festival Issues Open Call for “Cooligans” to Serve on Event Teams
Durham, NC, February 26, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Art of Cool Festival (AOCFEST), a locally run, three-day music festival, is looking for enthusiastic volunteers, or “Cooligans,” to join various event teams to participate in the Triangle’s most incredible community experience this April. AOCFEST offers six different volunteer task forces: labor, greeters, catering assistants, registration assistants, runners, and ambassadors to lead the way around the festival. Volunteers must be 18 years or older and will be expected to give a minimum of 5 hours of service during the festival. The application process closes on Saturday, March 21.
Chosen applicants will be notified by Saturday, March 28, and will participate in at least one training session prior to AOCFEST. Volunteers will receive an exclusive AOCFEST event and party admission, a Cooligan t-shirt, access to monthly Cooligan hangouts and more. For more information and a volunteer application, visit http://aocfestival.org/volunteer/.
AOCFEST is Durham’s first world-class jazz and soul music festival. The three-day event combines two outdoor stages, five indoor music venues and more than 30 world-class performances. Last year, the event hosted more than 3,500 music lovers and approximately 40 bands. AOCFEST’s economic impact for Durham was approximately $600,000 in direct and indirect spending in April 2014.
