Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours Offers Hot New Flights for Spring Break 2015

Las Vegas, NV, March 02, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Spring Break 2015 is just around the corner and Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours is welcoming vacationers with a slate of great deals on flights that originate from Las Vegas, NV, and South Rim/Tusayan, AZ.
“Spring Break traditionally signals the official start of the Grand Canyon tour season,” said Keith Kravitz, owner of Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours. “To get this show on the road, a number of premium flights to both the West Rim and the South Rim have been discounted.”
Las Vegas
The cheapest Las Vegas tour is the air-only option. It goes over Lake Mead and Hoover Dam before entering Grand Canyon airspace. Then there’s a the Champagne Picnic landing tour, which follows the same flight path except it makes a 3,500-foot descent to the bottom. “This landing tour in particular is a home run,” noted Kravitz. “Nothing quite compares to clinking glasses at the base and taking in a view that’s simply unforgettable.”
Kravitz noted that the Champagne tour also includes an option to be extended to include a Colorado River boat ride. “The River is one of the United State’s most magnificent and important waterways,” he said. “Now image floating on it in a motorized steel pontoon boat among the Canyon’s stupendously steep walls.”
Guests also have the option to land on the top of the West Rim. From there, transfers are included that take travelers to the world-famous Grand Canyon Skywalk, an all-glass bridge that lets visitors walk some 70 feet past the edge of the Rim. “The Skywalk is easily Las Vegas’ most popular outdoor attraction,” noted Kravitz. “In addition to the fact that the structure cost more than $30 million dollars to build, it’s also one of the best ways to get an unobstructed view of the Rim and the Canyon simultaneously.”
Kravitz also added that Vegas helicopters only fly to the West Rim of the National Park. For travelers that want to visit the South Rim from Las Vegas, he recommends the 60-minute airplane tour. “This flight is one of the most popular ways to get to the South Rim fast,” he said. “Further, it can be combined with a 30-minute helicopter that takes you from the South Rim to the North Rim and back via the Dragoon Corridor, the widest, deepest section of the Park.”

South Rim
The two tours that are the most popular this time of the year are the 30-minute flight and the 50-minute flight. The former goes from the South Rim to the North Rim and back while the latest does that too as well as everything up to the eastern border of the Park. “The great thing about the longer tour is that you get to see up to 75 percent of the Canyon, which is a remarkable feat considering its comprised of more than 1 million acres,” noted Kravitz.
