French Embassy to US and British American Business Association (BABA) Hosting Energy and Environmental Events in Washington, DC

Washington, DC, March 01, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The French Embassy to the U.S. and the British American Business Association’s (BABA) Energy and Environmental Committee are hosting two separate events in the coming weeks to draw attention to the growing need for sustainable energy resources and environmental practices. These events are a prelude to COP21, the international conference on climate change in December 2015 in Paris, France.

The Forum of Communities for Urban Sustainability, FOCUS 2015, organized by the French Embassy, will be held at the Embassy’s headquarters in Washington D.C. on March 5th and 6th. Mayors from 60 U.S. cities and 10 mayors from France, as well as numerous energy and environmental experts, will attend a series of workshops exchanging ideas, best practices, and solutions for developing sustainable cities.

Carmie McCook, a member of BABA’s Energy and Environmental Committee, was also invited to attend FOCUS 2015. “I am excited to be invited to the French Embassy’s FOCUS 2015 Conference to learn about some innovative solutions for developing sustainable cities,” said McCook. “And, I know the information shared at that conference will be of great interest to BABA’s Energy and Environmental committee members.”

To share highlights and key takeaways from the FOCUS 2015 conference with the BABA committee and other guests, McCook has invited Bruno Fulda, Counselor for Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transportation and Energy for the French Embassy in the U.S., and organizer of FOCUS 2015, to be the guest speaker at BABA’s Energy and Environmental speaker series on April 7, 2015.

McCook, an executive media interview and public speaking consultant and trainer, has a deep personal interest and long history of working with leaders in the energy and environmental fields.
