Salter College Announces New Multi-Skill Health Technician Training Program
Salter College is offering a new training program at it's Chicopee, MA campus: Multi-Skill Health Technician.
Chicopee, MA, March 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Salter College - a nationally accredited, career-focused, two-year college - is proud to announce a new certificate program that is available at its Chicopee campus: Multi-Skill Health Technician.
Graduates of the Multi-Skill Health Technician program will be prepared for a variety of medical careers, including Phlebotomist, EKG Technician, and Patient Care Technician. Multi-Skilled Health Technicians work in many settings, from hospitals to healthcare practices to laboratories.
Salter College’s new 750-hour Multi-Skill Health Technician training program will provide students with a comprehensive background in general healthcare, with a focus on cardiovascular technology and phlebotomy.
Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) Technicians use cardiovascular technology to study the heart’s health. Phlebotomists perform various intravenous procedures to deliver medication or draw blood from patients. Patient Care Technicians are responsible for a wide range of responsibilities, which may include administering diagnostic tests, providing first aid, collecting blood samples, and patient care.
Graduates of Salter College’s new Multi-Skill Health Technician program will be eligible and encouraged to take the Phlebotomy, EKG, and Patient Care certification exams.
