Nieds Joins Henderson Franklin's Intellectual Property Team

Nieds concentrates his practice on intellectual property and internet matters. He advises clients on domestic and international intellectual property issues, including new product launches, corporate rebranding projects, rights acquisitions and licensing. Nieds represents trademark owners in cease and desist matters and infringement and counterfeiting actions. He also handles copyright registration and licensing, developing trade secret protection strategies, and intellectual property due diligence projects.
In addition, Nieds assists clients in internet-related legal issues, including the creation and implementation of privacy policies, terms of use agreements, user agreements, DMCA compliance. He also handles domain name litigation and cybersquatting matters and helps develop domain registration strategies.
Nieds received his undergraduate degree from Miami University (B.A., 1987), and the Illinois Institute of Technology. He received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law (J.D., 1994).
