Entrepreneur Donates “Let’s Make a Deal” Winnings to Tigerlily Foundation
Washington, DC, March 14, 2015 --(PR.com)-- At 10:00 AM EDT Thursday, resident and owner of Design Her Girls design firm, Dawn Espinoza was featured on the CBS Game Show, “Let’s Make a Deal”- with Celebrity Comedian and Host, Wayne Brady.
Espinoza won $1,000 on the show, after which she announced that she would be donating her winnings D.C.-based national breast cancer nonprofit, Tigerlily Foundation. After the show, she shared that,
“Women under the age of 45 are at risk for breast cancer and need to be educated about the risks, and those who are undergoing treatment for breast cancer deserve the incredible support network that Tigerlily Foundation provides.”
The President and Founder of Tigerlily Foundation, Maimah Karmo, noted that:
“We are so grateful and blessed for Dawn, and our other supporters. Every donation counts, and is helping our team of volunteers to continue to educate and advocate for women - locally, nationally, and globally for their health. This donation will help to provide financial support to several women, during treatment their car bills, utilities, rent and so much more.”
Tigerlily Foundation is a national breast cancer non-profit, based in Washington, D.C., and was founded by Maimah Karmo, President and Breast Cancer Survivor, in 2007. Their mission is to educate, advocate for, empower and provide hands-on services and support to young women (15-45), before, during and after breast cancer. Their primary objectives are: to provide education and empowerment to young women of diverse backgrounds, including those at heightened risk and those with less access to care; to improve the quality of life for young adult breast cancer survivors; to end isolation among young adult breast cancer survivors; to promote ferociously fearless females.
