Digital Shopping List App Whisk.com Appoints New CMO; Jennifer Edwards Joins UK Tech Startup
Jennifer Edwards to head up marketing and communications at digital shopping list app Whisk.com.
Birmingham, United Kingdom, March 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Whisk.com, creators of the award-winning digital shopping list app and the display advertising platform WhiskAds, announces that Jennifer Edwards has been appointed as their new CMO. Jennifer will be responsible for the structure, strategy and execution of Whisk’s marketing efforts.
Jennifer's background spans the spectrum of strategic marketing and communications, including branding and positioning, digital marketing, social media, and media and analyst relations. Throughout her career, Jennifer has worked alongside multidisciplinary teams of entrepreneurs, engineers and investors across a range of sectors including financial, consumer tech, education, software and services.
Jennifer relocated last year to Birmingham from San Francisco, California, where she spent the last 15 years directing a number of high-profile public relations and marketing campaigns for companies including Intel, Yahoo!, BillShrink, Splunk and the venture firms Intel Capital, August Capital and Sevin Rosen Funds.
In 1999, Jennifer founded PRQA (Public Relations Quality Assurance), a consultancy that guides venture firms and portfolio companies in the effective use of marketing communications resources.

As CMO at Whisk, Jennifer will be responsible for creating marketing and communications strategies to enhance Whisk's growth and brand equity. In addition to efforts to revolutionise people's food-shopping habits, Jennifer will work alongside Whisk's sales team to extend the company’s partnerships with FMCG / CPG brands and international supermarkets.
