OAS1S™ Launches the No. 1 Green Architecture

The Hague, Netherlands, March 22, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Today, OAS1S™ launches its innovative concept for the no. 1 green architecture; the unique design of houses as trees and communities as forests. This delivers the most sustainable, desirable and feasible answer to their rapid urbanizing world of today. The mission is to improve their concrete cities by top-quality 100% green homes. OAS1S™ creates a 21st century icon that merges architecture and nature into 1.

Houses
The OAS1S™ houses are inspired by trees, earth’s most ancient, important and appreciated structures. Therefore these "treescrapers" consist of wood and leaves, collect sun and water, plus provide oxygen, shelter and food. The tall, slim and detached houses have tree-like dimensions of 6 x 6 x 12 m, with spectacular vegetation facades. The basic, classic and attractive architecture is shaped as a 1, and gives the experience of being 1 with nature.

Communities
The design of OAS1S™ communities is inspired by the attractive characteristics of forests. The forest-like districts mix trees with tree-like houses, in an organic, public, compact and car-free lay-out. This fresh urban typology creates exciting new possibilities: Green communities which upgrade "concrete jungles," or chameleon-like resorts which totally harmonize within nature. The urban density is high; maximum 100 houses per hectare, plus a double land-use as park.

Interior
The wooden cabin-like OAS1S™ interior offers a fully customizable area of 160 m² over 4 floors. The floors are connected by easy stairs and glass halls, with an impressive 12 m high view towards a skylight. Each floor is differently directed to the surroundings by large windows with French balconies. OAS1S™ brings competitive models for single & multi-family housing, hotel, leisure or offices, for middle-class groups with high-quality and green demands.

Foundation
The OAS1S™ Foundation's mission is global urban improvement by the ultimate green architecture concept. It supports realizations of OAS1S™ tree-like houses and forest-like communities. The foundation authorizes global applications and local modifications of the design format. OAS1S™ founder Raimond de Hullu is a passionate architectural designer from Holland. The 1st step now is starting a pilot project with ambitious corporate or private parties.

Context

The simple, smart and sustainable OAS1S™ architecture uses feasible, available and proven techniques. The constructions are cradle-to-cradle, prefabricated of recycled wood, organic high-value insulation, green walls and triple glazing. The technical installations are off-grid; 100% self-sufficient with energy, water plus waste. To make these sustainable investments affordable, a Community Land Trust splits the land and house ownership costs.
