Mathew J. Schwartz Now Executive Editor of DataBreachToday
Princeton, NJ, March 26, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Information Security Media Group (ISMG) is pleased to announce that Mathew J. Schwartz has been promoted to Executive Editor of DataBreachToday (DBT).
Schwartz accepts the position after being an integral part of the ISMG team for nearly one year, serving as its Managing Editor for Europe. In his new role, he will now also lead content development of the DBT media site - across news, features, podcasts and infographics - and oversee its continued growth in coverage of such areas as breach detection and response, regulatory compliance, information security and risk management.

Schwartz, who has over 20 years of experience working in the electronic media industry, has an extensive background and understanding of the data breach, information security, risk management and privacy trends that affect both Europe and the United States.
Schwartz has covered information security and privacy trends throughout his career. His investigative feature, "Anatomy Of A Brokerage IT Meltdown," which reviewed the first-ever privacy fine imposed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, was a finalist in the Eddie & Ozzie Awards, and was awarded "Honorable Mention" at the 2013 min's Editorial & Design Awards.
Before joining ISMG in 2014, Schwartz was the information security beat reporter for InformationWeek, a frequent contributor to numerous security and privacy publications, including DarkReading, as well as the "Privacy Advisor" member newsletter from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Previously, Schwartz served as a security reporter for numerous publications, produced content for a number of consulting firms, and also worked as a travel writer and photographer.
