"EXPOSURE Concert 6: Because Love Shouldn't Hurt" Receives Sponsorship from Raymour & Flanigan
Furniture retail giant Raymour & Flanigan says "Love shouldn't hurt;" sponsoring grassroots effort to reach global audience with livestream broadcast of Love Shouldnt Hurt.TV's EXPOSURE Concert.
Orchard Park, NY, March 28, 2015 --(PR.com)-- For the 6th year, the 3-day festival raising awareness for domestic violence called "EXPOSURE Concert: Because love shouldn't hurt" will be taking place. This year's dates are June 26-28.
The concert features 50 bands on two stages and will be live-streamed around the world to globally unite against domestic violence, with a Vendor Fair on June 27. Survivor Suzanne Perry created the event "as a way to empower victims to get up and live again after abuse," as she has; and to create a greater public awareness as to the dynamics, barriers to services and stigmas surrounding domestic violence.
The nonprofit Perry founded, Love Shouldnt Hurt.TV is a 501(c)3 organization that advocates and supports victims and survivors, and through events such as EXPOSURE, reaches a global audience.
Raymour & Flanigan is a company that is prided on giving back to the community and "believes in taking care of people and communities where we serve, work and live."
According to their website, they are "a family-owned company that is the largest furniture retailer in the Northeast and the fourth-largest conventional furniture and mattress retailer in the U.S. (Furniture Today, May 2014)."
Raymour & Flanigan is a Silver Sponsor of the EXPOSURE Concert this year; and will be hosting a social gala Saturday, May 2nd, from 11am-6pm at their showroom located at 3380 Southwestern Boulevard in Orchard Park.
Acoustic live music can be enjoyed throughout the day from City Under Siege, Chloroform, and the Heenan Brothers.
Black Willow Winery will be on hand with wine tasting, complimentary refreshments will be available, and attendees can shop from local entrepreneurs Bark for Biscuits Bakery, Big Cookie Cakes, Dove Chocolates, It's in the Design (unique Buffalo-shaped clocks), Jewelry in Candles, Origami Owl and Younique.
For women interested in playing outdoors at the 'Wild Women Unite' event on Grand Island October 2-3, Perry has recently been appointed to run the Buffalo event; and will have a booth onsite. A $25 discount will be extended on the $200 registration during the gala. For more information, please visit www.WildWomenUnite.com.
If that isn't inviting enough, a new Fender Squire Bullet electric guitar will be raffled off. The guitar will be on display and pre-sale tickets will be available in-store, at the Orchard Park location only, beginning April 1st. Tickets are $2 each or 3 tickets for $5.
"How commendable," Perry says, "that a company that is so huge, doesn't just have their head in the clouds. They actually look at their neighbors, and their families, and acknowledge real issues existing in our society, recognizing that people need help. In this instance, because of the generosity of Raymour & Flanigan, we reach greater audiences to help more people and essentially save more lives. How? By encouraging people who may be in a dangerous relationship to seek guidance, and make safety plans, and help them to stay safe. We can be that speech, that phone call or that cab ride that saved someone's life."
Raymour & Flanigan and Love Shouldnt Hurt.TV are both members of the Orchard Park Chamber of Commerce; and invite fellow chamber members and other community businesses to donate items that will be combined into large raffle baskets.
Love Shouldnt Hurt.TV invites other companies to join Raymour & Flanigan in becoming sponsors of the EXPOSURE Concert. Current sponsors include Regal Tip, Yorkville Sound, Ultimate Ears, Certo Brothers, UPS, Oogie Games, Stylin' Tattoo, Terrapin Station, Flying Mo-Jo, Women's International Music Network (WiMN), She Rocks the Planet!, Night-Life Magazine and Wild Women Unite.
