WNSC Launches New Business Incubator with Charity Grant
Oswestry, United Kingdom, April 02, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Walford and North Shropshire College (WNSC) launched a new Business Incubator recently, after gaining a grant from the National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs (NACUE).
The £1000 was presented to the College from NACUE after working with the College to support them in their efforts to grow businesses in their community. The Business Incubator aims to nurture young entrepreneurs and promote participation in enterprise societies.
WNSC has recently joined NACUE’s 2014/15 Enterprise Society Programme, alongside 50 other Further Education colleges from across the country. As part of the programme, colleges receive a range of support from NACUE to help create and develop student-led enterprise societies.
Sarah Probert, the Business Curriculum Leader at WNSC, commented "We are truly servicing the needs of our local community, offering our services to support business start-ups and youth enterprise. We continue to foster the next generation of start-ups and youth enterprises, whilst supporting the growth of our business community."
The programme has been guided and supported by the Association of Colleges (AoC) and the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) in order to prepare learners for an increasingly entrepreneurial economy.
Johnny Luk, NACUE Chief Executive, commented "Here at NACUE we’ve seen hundreds of incredible ideas materialise through our partnership with the Government to provide funding. Walford and North Shropshire College’s new Business Incubator is something we are proud to be supporting." Adding "The enthusiasm from staff members during the process of launching this business hub is something to be celebrated, we hope this new venture will continue to inject energy into the local community, and help inspire more entrepreneurial talent!"
Following the launch of the Business Incubator, NACUE will be working with WNSC over the following year to help build on the college’s entrepreneurial achievements.
